Coffeehouse Northwest never exactly opened but rather appeared one day in 2006 on West Burnside. From those inauspicious beginnings Coffeehouse gradually collected the most talented and genuine staff of all time. Today Coffeehouse continues as ever, polite and dedicated, on a charmingly questionable stretch of Portland's Champs Élysées.
Sterling Coffee Roasters definitely opened on St. Valentine's Day 2010 as a 50sq ft stand on Glisan St. In May, 2012, Sterling moved around the corner and indoors to share space with MBar on 21st. As Coffeehouse Northwest's darling child, Sterling is afforded every luxury, from the nicest clothes to the best finishing school. Indeed, Sterling makes Coffeehouse real proud.
